A guide explaining armies (not the concept, but the uses), all conditions and effects related to armies and ghost armies. (The last with help from jml) and a FAQ (with the advice of Archaeopterix).A Guide to the Army SystemBy Titan602To some people, the army system might be quite complicated. After you've read this guide or even just step one, you will make your scenarios even better. It's much easier than selecting a ton of units and making them do stuff.Getting startedTo start off, open up the army editor and select one or more unit, then click on the create army button. Now you have an army. Now for the triggers.Note: You might not need to do this step, because all the army triggers have a quick army maker with them that works just the same as above. The army triggersThis is an example of what an army trigger looks like:Army: [army here][v] (show) (make)Show will show you the army from the drop down list and make is the quick way of making an army. Select a group of units or just one and click make.ConditionsArmy Distance to pointSelect the army and select where they will have a distence from to fire the effects. Also, set the < <= = => > and the distenceEffectsArmy Build buildingTo get an army to build a building, select an army, select the building from the drop down menu and select where it will be built.Army Change typeThis is quite simple. Select the army and set what unit it/they will change into.Army ConvertSelect the army and select what player it will convert to.Army DeployThis is the most complicated and most used army trigger.Army DestroyThis will get rid of the army selected.Army FlashThis will flash an army for however seconds you tell it to.Army GarrisonThis will make an army walk to a unit of your choice and garrison in it.Note: Trigger: [(None)][v] means that once the army have garrisoned in a building, it will fire off another trigger.Army HeadingThis will rotate an army.Army HighlightThis will highlight an army. Its exactly the same as Army flash but instead of flashing, it stays lit like that.Army KillIt's like army destroy but it uses the death animation.Army MoveThis will make an army move to a point of your choiceArmy Move to UnitWorks like army move instead of moving to a point of your choice it's a unit of your choice e.g. a cinematic block.Army Set animationIt makes an army do an animation. There is a list of animations that come with the new editor.Army Set StanceI shouldn't need to tell you what this one does.Army TeleportIt takes an army from where they are standing, to another area.Army WorkThis makes an army ever repair a building, get a resource or attack a building.Ghost armiesSpecial thanks to jmlGhost armies are just like regular armies. They act like normal armies, that look like regular armies, they sound like regular armies. There's just one difference: they are not a group of units, they're not there. Making a ghost armyTo make a ghost army, open the army editor, type in a name for the army, set what player it will belong to and then press the ghost army botton. There you go, a ghost armyMaking the ghost army do stuffTo make the ghost army do stuff, you need to use the army deploy trigger. Use that, and you've done it!FAQ:Q: What exacly is an "army".A: It's a group of units that can be used in triggers instead of using unit creat, move to point, unit work all the time.Q: What are the army triggersA: Army Build building, Army Change type, Army Convert, Army Deploy, Army Destroy, Army Flash, Army Garrison, Army Heading, Army Highlight, Army Kill, Army Move, Army Move to Unit, Army Set animation, Army Set Stance, Army Teleport, Army WorkQ: Can you name armies?A: Yes. Type in the name before you click create army. If you mean change the name of the units of the army, you'll need to download this.Q: Can you group units of different players together?A: No, you can't.Q: What is the difference between creating one through the army editor and through the trigger interface?['/b]A: The army editor lets you do ghost armies and choose names but the trigger interface only lets you select a unit(s) and make it/them an army with an automatic name.Q: Does army rotate only rotate the units, or the entire army?A: The units of the army.
