Summary of today: Greece has a referendum, then takes it back, then says it's still on, and I'm betting after hours they took it back again, judging by the huge AH price increases on SPY.
Picked up a bunch of calls at cheap prices, some 125x at .6 and some 129x at .07. Have some puts at 121x to hedge. Still thinking that these couple weeks are overall bullish... unless Greece does something stupid again.

JDSU also back spiking above $12 after hours. Got into Nov calls at $.30 - Pretty darn risky for holding into earnings but I'm glad I did - looking forward to tomorrow.

Watching AUD/USD here; it usually correlates w/ the market. Right now it is setting up a nice double bottom, so if that holds, it'll confirm us having a nice bounce upwards in the market tomorrow. However, downward resistance is pretty near so as of right now, it would still just be a bounce.
But maybe they'll convince Greece not to have that referendum and then we'll break out of the downtrend so that we go green for the holidays - who knows?
Makes perfect sense so far:
- Euro deal passes = 400 pt rally
- Greece referendum = 300pt drop
- Undo referendum = Market rallies
- Redo referendum = Market back to daily low.
- Greece "politically stable" by supporting referendum = Risk currencies (market) bounces back up. O_o

Though the site. Home tab > My Profile > Option Trading (Enable).
Get Tier 2 at least so you can buy calls and puts - up to you if you want margin (being able to borrow to buy/sell more money than you actually have).

Support at 128 for SPY and rest of market. Should bounce here at least (if not end pullback). Calls on AMZN, JDSU, etc look very nice if you want to enter. Just careful about the weekend but a strong close should help.
Going to stick with my original plan from last week that the quarter overall is bullish while 2012 we start to dip again.
Personally in BAC Oct.28 calls at $.15 and JDSU Nov calls at $.30 right now.

Looking at yesterday's uptrend as support here. If they break that, I'll go short, but I don't plan on holding over the weekend because the uncertainty with Europe.

Downward break on support. Same lines as before, but as resistance instead of support. I plan to get into puts if we put second low to confirm (lower than the first).

Watching a potential inverse head-and-shoulders here. That said, even if it occurs, we have strong resistance in the 123.20 area, so I'm not expecting the uptrend to last more than a day (unless the EUR crisis of solved or something).

Watching these lines here for the S&P. Wedges getting broken on the upside. The real test will be the 1230 ceiling (123 area on SPY).

Picked up a few puts at the test on highs, then more on the 122 break. We have a lot of support levels to fall through though, so I'll add more when I see the momentum pick up (if it does).

Nice 250 pt drop today but longer term still seems bullish (MACD upwards etc). Planning to get out tomorrow incase AAPL earnings move us back in the other direction; will re-evaluate at that point then.

I'm basically using NZD/USD as an indicator for the market right now haha It's worked pretty well.
Got into FAS calls at $11.60. There was a bit of a sell-off but we held pretty well. Right now hourly MACD is about to cross on NZD/USD; needs to be stronger though. MACD on the market indices are a little further from crossing. Of course, this all means nothing if they don't actually end up crossing.

Entering FAZ a bit here at height of day, S&P at 1160. Seems like resistance should be around here based on daily chart.
Will enter more when I see an actual sell off but it's just a safe entry point for now.

- Steve Jobs has passed away.
- The hacking group "Anonymous" plans to erase the NYSE exchange on Oct.10
Probably want to short end of Thursday or Friday going into the scare. NYSE is just one exchange; it is not the entire stock market.

Small runup today but headed back down again. Maybe I should start going long in the mornings and then short after 1 hour.

Went long today on FAS expecting a bounce. Got out near high at end of day.

KGN - Just way oversold because silver is down
HGSI - Running up solidly during a downmarket

Bahaha Dow down 360 points - glad I held FAZ (3x short ETF) overnight.
On the other hand.... we just broke support on the DOW. Hm - either we bounce back hard tomorrow (and close today with a reversal candle, long wick, something) or it's down days from here.

Back into FAZ again - looks like we got a knife down from the Fed meeting, so I'm going bearish again until we hit major support (probably the same support the DOW has bounced off about 4 times now in 2 months).
