Not the most modern city tech-wise (subways could be cleaned up, etc), but the most complete I've been to by a long shot. Very cultural: musicians performing everywhere I went, lots of theater/broadway, much of the city stays open long past midnight (as opposed to closing by 8pm in most of SF where I live).
