Welcome to pftq Creations!

Most of what I know I have taught myself, with much thanks to the online communities I was active in from 2003-2007 when the internet was much smaller. I have been programming and making games since I was 12, creating short films and composing music since I was 14, and trading stocks since I was 18. My teachers and peers often knew me as the kid who somehow got to the right answer but from the "wrong" way. To me, school largely just confused me or made up names for things I was already doing. <_<

For as far back as I can remember (which is quite far, my earliest vivid memories being when I was 3-4), I've always had a very visual approach to thinking, such that I would imagine a series of events to anything that happens or could happen, put myself in the shoes of each and every person around me rather than just observe, and my works often channel this lens through which I see and create my world. I've found over time, for better or worse, that this same lens also gave me a knack for seeing all the triggers in a situation, all the strings to pull or the buttons to push, and the outcomes that would occur, cause and effect, but strangely enough, when it comes down to it, the place I long to be most is where I can get away from it all and just experiment, just explore, without knowing what might be around the corner. My happiest memory remains a dream in which the sheer freedom of flight was more real to me than any moment of the world I later woke to.

My reflections and thought process can be explored through my Essay Writings for those curious. My full skillset can be found on my Skills Resume page. I generally look forward to and am open to collaborating on projects. Feel free to contact me on my contact page.

This is probably my most thematically interesting and coincidentally longest piano piece so far. It may actually be more of a series of songs like chapters in a story, but I leave them together since it was originally played on the spot in one session. I'm also finally becoming more comfortable improvising both hands at once and switching fluidly between keys without really thinking about it. ... »

Darkerly Stormy
Darkerly Stormy
Darkerly Stormy
I've been wanting to remake this song for a long time... or at least the climax of it. The Edirol VST I used in the original Darker Stormy just wasn't strong enough for the climax to me. However, it took me a long time to find higher quality samples (mostly East West) that would match the overall sound I wanted to keep from the original. The new song here essentially starts with a remix of... »

Entry to a contest at psoriasis-cure-now.org for the humor track. Entry on Youtube. Took 4 whole days to make it... Had to hand-draw everything, make the music, make the voices - first time animating and also first time making everything. Am pretty proud of it. Nope, that's not my real voice, but it IS me speaking. Just lots of filters added over. Music I made in FL Studio - pre... »

Gameshow Maker can be seen as an extension of the original Jeopardy Maker (which you should check out if you want something more basic and preconfigured). The idea is to allow you to create your own questions/answers gameshow, such as Jeopardy or Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, with little to no work on your end. Categories, rows, columns, bonuses... Everything is done by the program.... »

Heart of Forma OST
Heart of Forma OST
Heart of Forma OST
This is music for a small side-scroller indie space game that was under development by a colleague. The game is light-hearted and somewhat retro, so the music will sound cheesy and a little MIDI-ish at times. I went pretty loose with my composing here and just went with whatever flowed to me rather than try to think too hard. Probably the most fun and relaxed I've had composing in a while. A ... »

Accidentally played this randomly at first (literally had my eyes closed and didn't know what key I was in). I actually forgot it for a few days before sitting down to record it. The song's pretty simple to play and somewhat repetitive, but I like it. It has a nostalgic and dream-like feel to it, like you're always on a journey of sorts but never quite finding the place you belong, a longi... »

In the Midst of Night
In the Midst of Night
The final product of almost two months' work with my club, filmed on 3 separate days and edited in 5 (with no sleep). 36 min. movie with more than 2 hours of outtakes. Serious and funny at the same time. Although the best effects still goes to Little Kook in a Cabin, this one probably is most polished, having a decent (or at least most meaningful) script and the strong atmosphere, at least in ... »

Mythic Cops
One of my earlier successes in designing for the Age of Mythology/Empires games. Oddly enough, I didn't spend much more than a week or two on it, but I definitely had a lot of fun with it. The original project page can be found at AOM Heavengames.com. Mythic Cops is a wacky story of two cops (Jacobble Stone and Carshoo Lase) attempting to catch a dark and powerful sorceror for s... »

Raindrops
As the title suggests, think of rain when you hear this song. Think of rain in all its forms (drizzling, shower, storm, hail...) and then think of the sun when it begins to emerge. The initial idea was for the piano to represent rain and the flute as either life in general or the sun (just something counter to the chaos), but it's really up to interpretation. I just happened to think of this s... »
