Tifflrol's Journey

Jul.21 2004 - Oct.09 2005

One of the longest projects I worked on for Age of Mythology before I realized the scope I was going for was just unfeasible. The amount of time spent redoing maps as I got better at designing was also an obstacle. The best product out of this is probably the intro cinematic.

Norse Hersir named Tifflrol has his village invaded by a witch, Circe, and her army of monsterous creatures. He and his small army are captured and discover their horrifying fates.

The original project, along with some of my earlier noob-ish posts from when I first started designing, can all be found at AOM Heavengames.com. Razz

The Unit triggers in general don't work well. You want to save things into Armies (in the trigger sense, not gameplay ones) and use the Army Move, Army Deploy etc

Thanks for the comment! Smile It's great to hear the community is still thriving as well. Was thinking that 5 years was a long time but then this was also made 5 years ago. Definitely has been a while.

Pftq, I hope you get this a lot, but you are no doubt my absolute favorite Aom artist. Mythic cops was truly the most hilarious cinematic I've ever seen, and Tifflrol's Journey is such a good story. I would be so happy if you came back to the AoM community... though I understand you if you won't. I myself have had my loss of interest in aom due to over-consuming and/or too much school... but now I'm back again! After 5 years... it's crazy. Takes a while to get into it all again though. The first thing I did when I got back was downloading missions, and that's how I got to see yours... and I can say they have been a great source of inspiration for me. Thank you for what you have given me, Pftq!
