This is a Halloween song I actually started in October 2009 but never came back to (it was only a minute long then). It's probably the most procrastination-afflicted song I've worked on so far, due to weeks and months where there was virtually no progress. At least I managed at least finish in time for this year's Halloween though.
The song itself is probably one of my more complex ones. It starts off purposely cheesy but gets darker as the song progresses. What I had in mind was a small group heading up into dark castle. You can somewhat visualize where events would become dark and run downhill or where things would gradually become more hopeful. It's really open to interpretation, so I won't try to elaborate beyond that.
Added a new section at 5:50 - sounds kind of like a face-off of some sort. I think the song is relatively complete (finally), so it's just tweaking from here on.
Finally added more parts past 3:30. Took me an hour of doing nothing for it to finally come to me. -_- I still need to touch up the transitions and add an actual ending but at least there's progress now.
Added a violin solo after the piano solo. I had it in my mind that each would do a solo in the middle before the climax, but I have forgotten what the actual climax was supposed to be at the moment so it's just a bunch of randomness.

Darker Stormy
