Hey the updates are nice!

Is there some magic to get your .swf file to work in Power Point? I cannot seem to embed it. I have the latest Shockwave Player Object.

I didn't even know you could embed Flash in Powerpoint hehe.

Following these instructions, it seemed to work just fine though: http://www.shortruncd.com/mainpages/info/powerpoint/add_flash_to_powerpoint.htm

- Make sure the powerpoint file is saved in the same folder as the GameshowMaker flash file.
- For the URL, simply put GameshowMaker.swf (since it's in the same folder) rather than the full filepath.
- I suggest not to embed, as GameshowMaker does not consist only of the SWF.

Edit: Okay I just tried on another computer.  It seems some versions of Powerpoint will load the SWF off-center (parts of the program not on screen).  Will look into this...

Looks like we have 1.02 -  Minor improvements but you can definitely embed it in Powerpoint now.  Previously, it would align badly (parts of it off-screen) but now it works as if loaded on its own. Smiley

Did anyone ever mention that you are the man! Your latest version is great! I am loving the custom buttons.

Is there any way to load different images as backgrounds for the top button or side buttons? Right now any button image loaded is used for both top and side buttons. Also, is there any way to horizontally shift the title?

Not at the moment.  Will definitely add those to my list to do when I get the chance though.

Is it possible to shift the custom buttons on the left more to the right? At first mine were partially off of the screen, but after looking at your PNG button files I noticed you inserted space into the file. This helped and now my buttons are no longer off of the screen, but they would look better if I could center them and to do this I would need to be able to shift them so many pixels to the right. Right now all I can do is shift them up/down.

On another note would you be curious to see what I have put together?

Not directly at the moment.  What you'd want to do is decrease the width of the side buttons (take up less space) and then shiftX to the right (create more space).

Or you can put the space in the image files - which I think would be the best route for now.

Sure, it'd be interesting to see what you've done so far. Smiley

Hello,

This is very easy to use.  Thanks!

Can diagrams and photos be added to questions or answers?

Yes - through use of HTML tags.
Example from readme:
Bold - text
Italics - text
Underline - text
Linebreak/Newline -

Image -
<img src='filepath to image' />

Reason for the
is to create a new line or linebreak (remember actually hitting enter and creating a new line would end up being a new row).

this is an awesome program and I plan to use it often with my Bible school classes.

Question about the score.  I see the score shows 0/0.  How does it keep score.  No matter what I do (either enter or ctrl spacebar) the score doesn't show.  does it keep score?  Since it shows in the top right corner, it seems like it would, but not sure how to make that happen.

Thanks!

Thanks - It's very interesting to hear how people are using the program.

The score can be clicked on during the game and the text can be edited. Actually you can input any text you like in its place so whether you use it to keep score or something else entirely is up to you.

The reason I left it open-ended is because some users in the past have had numerous ways to keep score, not to mention some may want to correct the score at times in the game.  Hopefully, the score not being automatic does not detract from the feature.

Hi mate, this program is brilliant and I'm so happy that I've found it!

I'm teaching ESL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) in South Korea and am planning on using this program as an interactive activity to play with my high school kids. Is it at all possible to enter questions and answers in Korean script? (Hangul) (한글) ?

Another teacher friend of mine recommended the program and there is now a HUGE group of teachers all planning on using it in class. The ability to input questions and answers in Korean would be unbelievably good!

Thanks for your hard work, I hope you're proud of your creation!

Hi - thanks for your interest in the program.

I will look into adding a Korean font to the program this weekend.  Currently, I don't see why it would be an issue. Smiley
