I've been interested in browser-based games for a few years now, and have played with some scripts. I really like the idea of a combined browser game and a social roleplay site, but there's not much software out there for it. I've used Legend of the Green Dragon before, but it's incredibly bloated, slow, and has a tendency to overwhelm any server it's on. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any alternatives that would allow for some level of social networking and is free to play around with?
