One Equals 0.99999...
Confusing math…
I came across this a few times. They say once you go into Calculus, it’s understandable, but me having not gone that far, find this pretty strange…
x = 0.99999…
10x = 9.99999…
10x-x = 9.99999……[More]
In times of need, we gather together to unitedly state the obvious.

Sorry been fading away lately. Very busy meself.
However, I did have time to create a photo montage, but only because that’s an assignment given by my art teacher. The photo will be submitted to a competition. This is my first time using Photoshop to edit photos. Constructive critisism would be great.
Bah, last time I’m riding a plane for a long time. First we get delayed because the co-pilot got stuck in a traffic jam. Then the plane arrives late for the connection and we barely make it in time for the next flight. When we finally get home, the luggage is missing! They say they’ll deliver it to our home as soon as they find it. Shame I had pretty much everything in there. <_<
Gonna be gone the entire spring break. I might drop in once in a while depending on if I have internet access where I’m at - though I probably won’t stay on long enough to do anything. Please do not email me during the break unless it’s really important - I don’t want to browse through 5 pages of junk when I get back. Thanks!
France puts secret UFO archive on web
Found this article. Looks like the government is, for certain, hiding some things afterall. It’s a pretty interesting read and summary of what exactly is on the site. There’s access to every single UFO-related case in France - so definitely something you can dig through if you like that sort of stuff or you’re bored.
The site takes forever to load though (probably because it is very popular at the moment; Yahoo states it is receiving tons of visitors at once). Also, the entire site is in French.
After a few hours work, I’ve managed to create a single trigger (opposed to the original 30) that controlled every single spawn line. Originally, each spawnline had its own constantly looping function, and each player had his/her own set. You’d have around 30*Players number of looping triggers every moment.
Now I managed to combine them all, so you have only 1*Players, a maximum of 8 at any given time on an 8 player map. This should drastically reduce the lag of any Fort Wars game.
Hopefully I finish 3.1 soon and release.
Article: Boy’s Screaming Kills Chickens
That’s just one of the weirdest things I’ve read in a long time. Apparently, a dog scared a boy, who in turn screamed and scared hundreds of chickens to death. Sounds like something right off of Jelly Pickle.
Tried a few more times to fix what I had already. First game went well until 20 minute mark and it synced out. The rest of the games synced out within 10 minutes. I went through and redid all the changes from 3.0 onward again. So far no problems - but that’s a serious lost of time wasted on the damn problem.
Everything works fine in single player and 1v1. File is short, instructions are brand new, tons of new features.. but always out of sync. Unfortunately can’t find what exactly is causing this. I’m afraid I’m going to have to start from 3.0 again and edit from there. Wish me luck!
I’ve just took some time to actually try my hand at learning kb Commands. Surprisingly it isn’t that hard (it looks confusing and there are close to no resources or references for it), and opens a whole new set of possibilities for scripting. Some guy named TwentyOneScore found these years ago for Age of Mythology, but from what I saw, it seems like no one bothered to take up on his findings. Very sad that this has remained buried for so long - like hidden treasure :p
Here’s a funny site I just came across. Basically it lets you enter two search phrases to compare and a little animation plays as if the two are duking it out. The winner is the search phrase that gets the most hits on Google. Also a nice way to see what site is more popular
Example: Llama VS Potato
Nooooooooo! The potato won! :O
