Anti-Stupidity Pill

August 7th, 2006 | Posted by pftq in Blabberbox | #

Just happened to come across this while I was browsing the web today.. Pretty funny title.

Anti-Stupidity Pill

The pill actually reduces short-term memory and boosts your “attentiveness” - basically makes you more aware.   I guess it depends on how you define “stupidity”.

They only tested on animals from what I read.   Good luck to the first human who tries it! :P

If the pill works, I know a few people who could certainly use something like that. :P

Just kiddin.

Useless Right Hand

August 5th, 2006 | Posted by pftq in Blabberbox | #

Well stitch has been off for a while now… but wow, hand is USELESS! I can barely move the mouse with it and doing anything as simple as picking up a book makes my wrist feel as if it’s about to just snap off. -_- Also not really sure mywrist is actually “healed” yet.   Near where the breakage was - there’s a very visible “drop”.   The bone in my arm is nice and straight and suddenly drops a bit when it reaches my wrist.   Sort of like —-__, where —- is the level of my arm and __ is the level of my wrist past the break.   Kinda creepy.   I can actually feel a lump of bone around it and then a small crack in the bone where it hasn’t healed, if I press my finger to it.

My second wrist bone also still continues to rise up every time I raise my arm.   Then it sinks back down when I rest my hand on something.   I can actually press my right hand upwards and have the bone sink back in.   Basically looks like a half of my hand is hanging a bit.

My doctor had said several weeks back that I was going to be deformed for a while.   I was to give it a year and see how it goes.   Wheee!

Out of a Cast, into a Stitch!

June 7th, 2006 | Posted by pftq in Blabberbox | #

My broken wrist finally got “well” enough to be put out of a cast and into a stitch. My wrist was broken about 2 months ago on April 25. My wrist was basically broken into three parts. There was my hand which wasn’t connected to the rest of my arm. Then one of the two bones that formed my arm was broken off near the tip where my wrist was. Including my arm, the isolated bone, and my hand, thats three parts - ouch. :-(
Well now my wrist is somewhat intact, but unfortunately is still pretty crooked. There’s also that bone that keeps rising up and trying to poke out of my skin when I lift my arm. My doctor says all that and the deformity will go away after about a year of healing.   In the meantime I still can’t use my right hand for anything for another 3 weeks.  -_-  Noooooo! I’m deformed! And for a year too! Bah!
